Auto break-ins at Pct 4 Parks

The number of auto break-ins seem to be climbing in what used to be a "safe zone" – the parking lots of our parks. The Parks Department has had signs warning against leaving valuables in cars placed along the parking lots in all of our parks. Park staff at the parks along with the constables keep an eye out for thieves but they all can’t be everywhere at the same time.

If women don’t want to carry their purses into the game – please leave them at home and use something like a fanny-pack for instance. Lap-top computers don’t belong in an over-heated car interior, but that’s what some folks are losing.

Please be vigilant about not leaving visible valuables in their cars. Under parking lot circumstances with a crowd, cars windows are not broken for theft purposes if there is nothing to see.
